On Monday, April 27, 2015, WASA Region 114 held its annual Regional Awards dinner at the Clearwater Resort in Suquamish. Olympic ESD Superintendent Greg Lynch hosted the dinner. WASA Assistant Executive Director Helene Paroff attended on behalf of WASA.
Region 114 celebrated amazing honorees receiving a Community Leadership Award throughout the evening. Superintendents presented awards and shared inspirational stories in recognition of each recipient’s contribution to education.
Community Leadership Awards
Bremerton School District Honorees: Superintendent Dr. Aaron Leavell presented awards to Corinne Beach and Bremerton Mayor Patty Lent.
Central Kitsap School District Honorees: Superintendent David McVicker honored Darlene and Robert Sawyer and Chris Stokke.
North Kitsap School District Honorees: Superintendent Patty Page paid tribute to honorees Jerry Parrish and Virgil Taylor.
North Mason School District Honoree: Superintendent Dana Rosenbach shared a proud moment with honoree Dr. Don LePere.
Port Angeles School District Honorees: Superintendent Dr. Marc Jackson honors community members Steven Methner and Kyle Cronk.
Port Townsend School District Honoree:On behalf of Superintendent Dr. David Engle, Maritime Discovery Schools Director Sarah Rubenstein presented honoree Jake Beattie with his award.
Sequim School District Honorees: Superintendent Kelly Shea honored David Mattingley and Jim Stoffer.
Olympic ESD 114 Honoree: OESD 114 Superintendent Greg Lynch presented a special award to OESD Board Director
Karen Sorger for her years of service.
