Institutional Education

About

OESD Institutional Education

"Education is the key to success in life."

The OESD Youth Services Department provides programs aimed to educate and support our court-involved school-aged youths at the Kitsap and Clallam County Juvenile Detention Centers. The services provided begin with young people incarcerated in the two detention facilities and continues as they transition back to their home school districts, or other educational programs. Our dedicated staff assist our students with educational and vocational opportunities, mentoring options, and coordinate their transition to/from our school programs.

2020 Reopening Plan

Each school district, charter school, and state-tribal education compact school (“local education agency” or “LEA”) must adopt a reopening plan for the 2020–21 school year through local board resolution. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) developed this Washington School 2020 Reopening Plan Template in consultation with the State Board of Education (SBE).

On August, 20, 2020 a reopening plan, approved by Olympic ESD 114 Board of Directors, was submitted to OSPI.
