OESD Mathematics Leadership Team
Participants in the Mathematics Leadership Team come away from each meeting with an increased depth of knowledge about the Washington State Learning Standards for Mathematics and the Smarter Balanced Assessments. They also gain ideas, strategies, and resources that support district and classroom implementation of the standards using the NCTM book “Principles to Action” as a resource. This school year the MLT will focus even more intently on learning strategies targeting the 3 Key Shifts in the CCSS for Math using productive classroom routines. We also will be examining lessons and formative assessments from current curricular materials to deepen our understanding of how our curriculum supports the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
