    Week 1 & 2 - Sun Watching
If you are stuck on a desert island in the middle of the ocean without a watch or clock, how would you tell time?  How does the sun move through the sky during the day?  What causes the apparent motion of the sun across the sky?
Why do we see different constellations in the night sky at different times of the night and at different times of the year? How can we use a model to illustrate the movement of the sun and moon system throughout the year?
What does the moon appear like during the night? What causes these changes of the moon that we see at night?  How can we create a model to illustrate the moon phases?
